GAO auditors just went through $110 billion of what DOGE claimed they saved and couldn’t verify 96% of the grant savings. They found $27 billion in cuts for contracts that were never cancelled. And 108 of 264 leases DOGE took credit for were already being terminated before DOGE existed.
